"Death and Reborn" is a surrealistic piece expressing the beauty of reincarnation. Cindy used granite pencils to create the piece. What inspired her piece was at her aunt's backyard in New York, and she found a dead gutted bird right outside her door. They took a picture because it had some kind of plastic code tube on its leg. Her and her aunt wanted to look into it. In her Drawing II class, sh decided to create a reincarnated piece. The bird symbolizes death and the flower coming out of the bird is life being reborn.
