The inspiration behind my piece was from the Lebanese revolution going on in Lebanon! I wanted to show pictures from the Revolution in my drawing while also getting the message across. All the people are asking for is basic rights when it comes to healthcare, income, and basic rights. I wanted to show that through my piece.
Amani started drawing as a child and continued to draw over the years, improving herself drastically. She mentioned how we live in an extremely competitive world now and it can sometimes be discouraging in the art world or in general. Sometimes you see amazing works of art that make you feel like your creativity isn’t good enough. However, you have to remember that ever artist is different. It is a competitive environment and she urges artist to embrace every unique piece they create. Keep pushing yourself and improving your creativity.
