“Uncertainty”: This art piece is one of Amani’s favorite pieces. This piece was created on her iPad on a program called Procreate. The program allows her to use a variety of different tools and layers to create pieces like this. Her inspiration behind this piece was from her childhood memories. Growing up, she always felt like she was an outsider in school and felt like she had to act like others to fit in. However, as time went on she realized that it’s okay to be different, make mistakes, and to be a leader rather than a follower. She created this piece to remind people to never forget how rare they are in this world.
Amani started drawing as a child and continued to draw over the years, improving herself drastically. She mentioned how we live in an extremely competitive world now and it can sometimes be discouraging in the art world or in general. Sometimes you see amazing works of art that make you feel like your creativity isn’t good enough. However, you have to remember that ever artist is different. It is a competitive environment and she urges artist to embrace every unique piece they create. Keep pushing yourself and improving your creativity.
